Kindness Rocks
At the Celebration of Life and JDK launch in 2019, there was a Rock Painting Station set up for everyone to paint their own message or image of kindness on a rock and leave it at the base of Julianna’s tree. Before leaving the event, everyone was encouraged to take someone else’s rock with them and disperse it into our world; to place it at their local park, their grandma’s garden, at the cottage, or to take it around the world—and spread those messages of kindness! From there it transpired into something much greater than anticipated. We received and continue to receive images of rocks from near and far. These rocks serve as a metaphor. Kindness rocks. We hope that when people see them they too will be inspired to be compassionate and kind. Kindness is a gift that anyone can give, and no act—no matter how small—is ever wasted. Please paint your own rocks and spread that kindness; a message at the right moment can change someone’s day, outlook or life… and don’t forget to share them with us via email or social media!
